Each pair includes English. The tool supports English with Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese as used in Portugal. Choose the language you need before submitting; the web tool does not automatically detect it.

Made for everyday messages

Use the translator for a quick greeting, a question while traveling, or the gist of a short message. Provide a complete sentence when possible: isolated words can have several meanings. Check names, numbers, and dates in the result.

Automatic translations can miss context. Have a qualified person check medical, legal, safety-related, or other consequential text. The free web tool translates text; voice and photo translation are available separately in the Spek iPhone app.

Is this translator free?

Yes. No account, payment, or app installation is needed to use this web tool. You can submit up to 500 characters at a time, with 10 translations per day for personal use. Shared connection limits and a site-wide free allowance help keep it available. If a limit is reached, the page will explain when to try again.

Where does my text go?

Google Translate powers this tool through the Cloud Translation API. Your text passes through Spek’s Cloudflare backend to that service. Spek does not save submitted text or translated results. A first-party session cookie and short-lived usage counters help enforce the free limits. See the privacy policy for details, including Google’s and Cloudflare’s processing.
